Gaultheria procumbens

Gaultheria procumbens, commonly known as wintergreen or eastern teaberry, is a low-growing, evergreen shrub that features glossy, dark green leaves and produces white, bell-shaped flowers followed by bright red berries. The plant is native to North America and its leaves are renowned for their minty fragrance when crushed, which is due to the presence of the compound methyl salicylate.
