By following these steps, you'll give your lawn the best chance for a lush and healthy season ahead.

In Massachusetts, March and April are crucial months for preparing your lawn for the growing season.

• Clean Up Debris:  Start by removing any leaves, sticks, or dead grass that have accumulated over the winter.  This helps the grass breathe and allows sunlight to reach the soil.
• Spring Lawn Feeding: Early spring is the ideal time to apply Jonathan Green Lawn Food with Crabgrass Preventer.  It features the newest technology, Dimension(R) Crabgrass Control Herbicide, that will control crabgrass all season long.  It also provides the nutrients required for a beautiful, green, thick lawn.  Veri-Green Lawn Food can be applied up to four weeks later than other crabgrass preventers.  Apply it to a dry lawn before a rain, and water it in after application.  When applied in late summer through early fall, it also helps to control annual bluegrass (Poa annual) when it first germinates.
