´Emperor I´ is similar to ´Bloodgood´ in growth habit. It was chosen as a unique cultivar, as It holds its red color well throughout the summer.  It´s brilliant crimson fall color will add contrast and highlights to the garden.  It is a medium grower, reaching 10´-12´ in 10 years, and so, is very suitable for the medium and large garden.
