Double Japanese Kerria is a tough but graceful deciduous shrub with an upright mounding habit of arching branches and shiny, heavily veined fresh green foliage. Heavy blooms of rounded pom-pom like double yellow flowers coat the branches of old growth from mid to late spring.  Best color in part sun and loamy well-drained soil.  Flowers will pale with too much sun.  Tolerates heavy shade, wet soil, and deer.

Syn with K. japonica ‘Flore Pleno’.
